Welcome to the website of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority at UC Irvine! My name is Amelia Merwin, and I am the president of our colony.

Alpha Epsilon Phi is one of the newest Panhellenic sororities on this campus, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t hit the ground running! During the 2008-2009 school year, our first official year on campus, we participated in Greek Week, Songfest, Panhellenic events, other chapters’ philanthropies, socials, and more. At the annual Greek Awards ceremony in February, we were awarded the Sister Sorority Award, Outstanding Sophomore, and Outstanding Greek Advisor. In addition, we were awarded the trophy for Scholastic Achievement – and our lengthy record of highest sorority GPA is a testament to our emphasis on scholarship.

As a nationally Jewish sorority founded to be a home for Jewish women on campus, AEPHis strive to live up to the ideals of our seven founders. Discrimination against this strong set of women caused them to form their own sisterhood exactly 100 years ago in 1909, at a time when they most needed a place to call home. As AEPHis, we honor their memory by living up to the high standards they set forth.

My experiences in Alpha Epsilon Phi have changed my life, and it is my hope that every girl is blessed with the same sorority sisterhood that I have had.

Sincerely,
Amelia Merwin
